Andina Dwifatma is a lecturer at the School of Communication, Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia. Her research interests include journalism studies, media studies, and freedom of expression. She also co-founded a longform journalism website, PanaJournal.com. The website, where she currently plays the role of managing editor, collects non-fiction features from storytellers all around Indonesia, as well as some foreign contributors.
Prior to joining Atma Jaya in 2014, Andina spent 5 years as a journalist at Kompas Gramedia Group of Magazine. As a journalist, she once won the highly prestigious national award on journalism, Anugrah Adiwarta 2011. She also has a life in creative writing. Her debut novel, Semusim, and Semusim Lagi (A Season, and Then Another) won the Novel Writing Competition 2012 held by the Jakarta Arts Council. Recently she published a short story titled Linus Damono as part of “Pekan Fiksi Vice Indonesia: Indonesia 2038”.
JILF is an annual international literary festival initiated by the Literary Committee of Jakarta Arts Council (JAC). Just as JAC was built and nurtured by artists and for arts, JILF was founded by writers for the sake of literature and book industry.
