Hendri Yulius graduated with a master’s degree in public policy from Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore. He has also finished his study on gender and cultural studies from master’s by research program from the University of Sydney. Several of his works include Mantra Lilith (Elex Media Komputindo, 2017) and Coming Out (Kepustakaan Populer Gramedia, 2015). His writing on gender politics and sexuality has been published in several national and international media, such as “The Jakarta Post”, “New Mandala”, “Indonesia at Melbourne”, “Esquire Indonesia”, “Jurnal Perempuan”, and others.
JILF is an annual international literary festival initiated by the Literary Committee of Jakarta Arts Council (JAC). Just as JAC was built and nurtured by artists and for arts, JILF was founded by writers for the sake of literature and book industry.
